black & Co, Jesus saves!!!! He really does...

BatQuake 2014-11-23 11:52:43

He really, really does!!!!

John 15:13 - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (KJV)

Psalm 34:8 - O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. (KJV)

Jesus loves y'all. Harden not your heart to him. Accept him as Lord and Saviour before it is too late. No other mistake you can ever make will ever supplant the mistake of rejecting Jesus Christ and ending up in an eternity of torment in Hellfire.

pelon 2014-11-23 12:11:49

A beautiful post in support of Jesus.
I gave him a 5 star review on yelp sometime back.

Oh Wait - slow down here - You mean Jesus of the the bible?
'Cause Jesus Martinez the mechanic on Crenshaw and 7th also saves customers a bunch on automotive repair.

Either way, happy to hear of your savings. I had alternator repair done at half the cost of the dealer fee. Saving is saving no matter which Jesus.

Have a blessed sundee.

John 3:17 - For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (KJV)

Have a good Sunday also.

And are we talking of the Jesus who rode into Jerusalem on horseback some 2000 years declaring that he was the messiah and that he would come again to redeem his believers?

This is who were are referring to:

John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)

Now how do you resurrect all those people who have died in the past 2014 years? And if the earth is some billion years old………how do you resolve the logistics of resurrecting all the dead since?

I recall sending you off to validate those figures which you claim to be true as far as the age of the world goes because you said you did not validate them yet you claimed them to be true.

Nowhere in any chapter, verse, sentence, word or letter does the Bible state the age of the world. Please stop telling gross untruths.

BatQuake 2014-11-23 19:10:17

In reply to Ewart

If you want to see real unadulterated ridicule, I'd advise you to go open your Bible and you'll see the immense ridicule meted out to Jesus Christ and the early disciples whenever they sought to broadcast the good news of Jesus Christ among the heathen.

Here are some names of ridicule given to Jesus by the unrepentant people he was only trying to show the way to Heaven - false teacher, a man possessed with demons, a practitioner of sedition, a blasphemer.........etc.

On numerous occasions in the Bible, the teachings of Jesus was greeted with immense anger by the heathen who heard him:

In Mark 6:3 we see an episode where following Jesus speaking to the people, they became displeased with him.

Mark 6:3 states: Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. (KJV)

Luke 4:27-30 records an instance where following Jesus speaking to the multitude, the people became so angry with Jesus, that they took him up on a hill to cast him off. Apparently, he may have escaped their grasp[via some supernatural disappearing act I speculate although the the scriptures does not specifically state how he escaped them on the hill].

And what did Herod and the soldiers do when Jesus hung on the cross dying? They ridiculed him (Luke 23:11). And what evil had he done leading up to that? Absolutely nothing. Remember this is the same Jesus who did only good for people YET in his dying moments was mocked and taunted on a cross. This is the same Jesus who had healed them, fed them, clothed them YET whom they exchanged for a murderer so he could be crucified.

For what? Absolutely nothing. Just speaking the truth about repentance etc.

In Acts 7, we see the case of Stephen who was stoned to death by the multitudes because he preached to them. They were so moved to anger, that they shut their ears to him, accosted him and took him out of the temple and stoned him to death there.

Paul & Silas were beaten and imprisoned many for speaking about Jesus; John the Baptist was imprisoned and then beheaded for speaking the truth.

BatQuake 2014-11-23 19:10:29

In reply to Ewart

I'm not sure why you think the soul of the stubbornly unrepentant person really likes to hear anything to do with Jesus. Open your Bible comrade. Christianity has faced multitudes of ridicule since it came on the scene. People will ridicule what they hate.

Jesus said the following:

John 15:18 - If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. (KJV)

John 15:19 - If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. (KJV)

You see comrade, people HATE what they don't like and will ridicule what they don't like to hear. And one thing the soul of the unrepentant man/woman absolutely HATES to hear is anything to do with Jesus Christ.

What I have to ensure is that I don't bring in just ridicule ie by disrespecting anyone or engaging in abominable acts here which contradict what I say.

But if by the mere sharing of Jesus and/or talking about matters to do with the Bible ridicule is brought on by those who are stubborn, unrepentant and resistant to the teachings of Jesus Christ, then oh well, that's nothing new as far as Christiandom is concerned.

Matthew 5:11 - Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. (KJV)

Does it matter that the bible did so in many chapters and not one?

So because it is over many chapters it is not valid??? WTF are you saying BQ?

Please read the above chapters (not one) and add the math up as you go along. The last time we did this, you flaked out at the "add the years up" part. I was polite not to press the obvious.

Now that I have been refreshed on the topic: it was Adam to Jesus = 4000 to 4500 years + Jesus to now (2014 years)

Try the math at your next prayer meeting brother BatQuakers

Ofcourse the consequences of engaging in various sins will vary especially on this side of life.

The end is result though as far as God is concerned is that whosoever fails to repent of their sins and accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour will be punished with an eternity of unimaginable torment in the flames of Hell.

Surrender your life to Jesus before it is too late Lenks. Jesus loves you.

Now you have Quakie's take...

If you mind me asking you pelon:

What is your goal? To convince people like BQ to renounce his faith? It is not going to happen. We all as a people have a need to understand how we got here, where we are going, and everything in the middle.

Religion does the best job explaining this in a way that the masses can easily understand. It makes sense. Religions are old and philosophy was what science is today.

Can you tell us how the universe was created in a way that we can understand?

And finally when I breathe my last breath can science reassure me that it was not all for naught?

Now...authenticity check.

Here we have te REAL Quakie using stealing in a hypothetical question. Remember now...to him stealing is sinful and all sin is sin...

What you shaking your head at?

Man A take on baby pig from a farm and he is branded a thief. Fine.

Man B come on the same farm and take 20 baby pig and run and he is branded as law abiding.

Man C come and do the same thing as Man B and he is branded the most law-abiding citizen of the year.

Man D come and do the same thing as Man B and Man C.

So tell me now on exactly what law can I take a stance to condemn Man A when Man B, Man C and Man D are deemed to be legal in their actions despite committing (at a great level) the same thing for which Man A was punished.

Tell me upon which law must I an outsider condemn Man A.

Link

What law?...Seriously? Didn't Man A commit a sin by stealing a baby pig Isn't he hell bound if he doesn't repent? What about laws of God?

Posters here are condemned daily with God's laws..

Y'all can read entire page/link above to get true meaning...yes, he was talking about Shillingford.

I have so much stuff on Quakie's character, it's not funny. Just can't be bothered...most times I just laff at him.

To me, he is a bad-minded ole hypocrite behind the cloth...plays the game to his own rules...

The measure and value of your life is not in science, religious dogma or doctrine, but in the contribution you make to those you love... those less fortunate... etc. If u need science or a specific dogma to determine if it "all went for naught" then you are a leaf to the wind...

Your question is invalid, the premise is biased.

It is not my premise pelon. I am telling you no matter how many facts you bring to the table people will find comfort in what they choose to believe.

And making a positive contribution to society is only what you deem as the purpose of life. Almost everyone does that in some way from having a job to reproducing.

You believe the purpose of your life is to make a significant contribution to other people's lives but then doesn't that present a chicken and egg scenario? Everyone's purpose in life is to make everyone else's life purposeful?

BQ believe his purpose in life is to serve the creator and when he does that he specifically will be rewarded. That sounds more logical than me giving my life so you can give yours to what seems to be no end.

BatQuake 2014-11-24 07:01:21

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Have a good one y'all.

Aye Nick2020, what's up? Trust you had a good night rest. You asked some questions re: life and its purpose. I would like to encourage you to check out the book of Ecclesiastes. Alot of issues re:life and the happenings under the sun are addressed in that book.

Do spend some time checking it out. There are only 12 chapters in that book. Toodles...

I am telling you no matter how many facts you bring to the table people will find comfort in what they choose to believe.

You seem to think I have some interest in changing someone mindset. 95% of the people around me are just like you (afterlife/heaven/god fearing), I have never sought to change their views - better yet I admire them all.

Where you differ from BatQuake, is that you are open to discussion - and not hypocritical with your views. That is where the DETAILS of my view come into play. When BatQuake says: "the bible did not state the age from ADAM to now"... it is a LIE. The bible did exactly that.
Taking the time to outline details is NOT me trying to convince anyone of anything.

BQ believe his purpose in life is to serve the creator and when he does that he specifically will be rewarded. That sounds more logical than me giving my life so you can give yours to what seems to be no end.

That you hope to be "rewarded" in your after life is your prerogative bro, and I respect that. But you differ from BQ significantly... see the thread from Poween.

nick2020 2014-11-24 13:48:49

In reply to pelon

To put BQ and myself in the same boat is worrying. I would probably jump overboard and face the sharks. Less painful.

I do believe in a creator. I do not subscribe to a religious doctrine. I find it quite sad that people divide and condemn based on differences in religion and even denomination.

BQ has a laundry list of things we are supposed to do and not do if we are to receive salvation based on the teachings of the Bible. Yet in Luke chapter 23 verse 32-43 the penitent thief was assured salvation by just believing in Jesus as the son of God. So why bicker over all these things when John 3:16 and Luke clearly state and demonstrate than belief in Jesus is the end all be all to salvation?

Answer: human nature.

But I was just putting that out there. We are all looking for answers. Millions of people still believe in religion because it explains life in an easy to understand manner. We were created by God. Things happen because God sees it fit. We will all die and some of us will be rewarded and others condemned depending on how we lived.

Good luck to all on the other side.

Can you kindly please provide that laundry list of things or some of the things in that laundry list you claim I have re:what one is supposed to do and not do to receive salvation.

Tenks.
