Brian Lara is in the news again, but this time it seems that the West Indies cricket legend has been the victim of theft. BVI News Online is reporting that a woman has been arrested and that police seized more than 40 bottles of premium liquor, jewelry and four-autographed cricket bats from the woman’s home during a search on Wednesday night.

From a report in the Trinidad Express

Several items, including jewelry, clothing and an honorary Order of Australia award-which was given to him during the hosting of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting last year by Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd-along with an undisclosed sum of cash, were stolen.

Every day I give thanks for my helper. I don't lock up a damn ting. Indeed the amount of money she has found in my clothes over the years is amazing.
