A myth?

Now India has taken to debuting 29 year old batsmen (Badrinath in this case) when they usually debut them as tean-agers. Is the cupboard bare?

In reply to NineMiles Yuh come fi tek out yuh football frustrations on Hindia, well watch dem draw dis one. lol lol lol lol lol lol

anandgb 2010-02-08 09:09:24

In reply to EdwinCharlie

They are missing Laxman, Dravid and Yuvi. Plus Rohit got injured on the morning of the game.

Sehwag batted excellently on the first inning, but it is obvious that the strain was too much.

This is a display of what genuine fast bowling can do even on a placid wicket.

Larr Pullo 2010-02-08 09:53:38

Who's number one?

kgbcan 2010-02-08 10:02:39

Surwa Gone country! shock shock shock

jayjay74 2010-02-08 10:08:55

In reply to nsriniv If India gets a 175 lead and the Saffies haffi chase that in say 60 overs things could get a bit tight,we all know how dem can choke.

Chally1 2010-02-08 10:09:09

In reply to Chrissy Let them take that.. They love to prepare crap pitches and make zillion rins again bang and them weak team to pad their stats.. I am so happy stern blow them out.

Which was the last teen batsman we debuted? Badri is old for a debut batsman, though, but he has earned it. Moreover, it speaks to the depth in our batting stocks, not otherwise, although we have a long way to go before we get someone like a Dravid or Laxman.

Fair play to SA though. We were outclassed.

watchman 2010-02-08 17:00:48

My question to Sehwag is simple- In light of this pathetic batting display is India a mediocre team? Also, in light of India's bowling in the first innings, can India take 20 Saffie wickets?

...with 257 behind with only 8 wkts in hand....I can see an innings defeat comming up!!

Also, knowing how good RSA is at playing for draws....if they win this, they will win the series!!

Not necessarily in 2008 in India, SA drew the 1st Test then won the 2nd Test by an innings and 90 runs.

However, India then won the 3rd Test on the dust bowl.

If India loses this test as it seems likely now, I wonder what type of pitch we will see for the 2nd and final test.

obviously india being the cowards that we know they are , will not prepare a sporting pitch , they will prepare a dust bowl and hope they win the toss and rack up 700+ runs. That will be their plan.

There goes their number one ranking on the back of winning 4 tests on the trot , 2 against sri lanka and 2 against bangla........would love the see them win four tests on the trot against the saffies, aussies or pommies.

anandgb 2010-02-08 20:28:49

India on the receiving end providing a lot of respite for West Indians losing miserably in OZ.
lol lol lol

India have always been fraudsters bro. like i said they won four tests on the trot, 2 against sri lanka and two against bangla..go figure. Let them win 4 in a row against the aussies or the poms nah.

What pitch did SA specifically ask for and get in the last Test of their recent home series against England?

Termie talks most of the times out of his ass... He does not know India's record..

Well Dhoni have a reward out for the groundsmen the rest of the series. He rewarding them for serving up dust bowls. Just watch and see from the second test onwards. Ball will be going through the top within the first hour of play.
