That is a good lineup.At any given day Marlon would out perform most of these batsmen.
Simmons,Ganga,Morton,Deo,Bravo,Ramdin,Pollard,Dowlin,R Hinds,Smith and Smith doesn't have that much on him when it comes to batting.

Looking at these threads one would think Samuels averages 50 in all forms of the game, this guy does not average above 35 in any form of the facting game.

The day Richie Richardson became captain was the day West Indies cricket died. Mark you a feel he is a shythound (anyone that averages 30odd or less at our FC level), but guilty, not a raas.

Nah,those three are better batsmen than Samuels.If yuh want to argue about Gayle well that is debatable.
Sammy might not have the power hitting ability like Gayle but when it come to stroke playing,he could outclass Gayle.

How many in this WI team does. Sammy played 29 test with an 28.73 average before his two year (banned)sabatical. If yuh want to say that that is not acceptable,I would agree but tek a look at some in this team who are still playing for the last two year while he is away and they have stats just as bad as Sammy's.
Most players who are in the top team that have 30 test matches under their belt,so to speak, are hovering around 40 to 47 average in test cricket.

... so we swap black dog for monkey ... now you see why we rated #8. Sammy and frenz need to step up at the FC level before being selected ... the benchmark has been set by Barath ... 3 seasons with an average above 40 ...bowlers benchmark ... a sub30 average

I would not say drop him for them, at least not right away...he has to play his way back into the team and if he scores heavily in the regional matches, he should play ahead of a lot of these pretenders masquerading as batsmen.

I agree no one has said that but the way he is being called for, its like he is the savior, he has been on the team and has done very little to convince me that he is and his numbers reflect that...I would be happy for him to prove me wrong.

What become of giving a person a second chance? He paid his dues for the nonsense that transpired. I believe he has grown up since then.
There is no guarantee that the youngsters coming through will perform better than he at the international level.
