the showing during the tests flattered to deceive.
Cappo did not lead from the front..check that..he did and the results were painful for WI supporters.

same thing...when he opened ODI for the WI he had a great record...but because of pure favoritism and jealousy he was removed from the opening position...
Seems that Shiv has given the most to WI cricket over the last decade or more...or at least as much as anyone else...but gets the least respect and appreciation from fans and the board alike...

They could beat Zim,Bang,or Pak and move up to #7 but they will always come to hell back down to #8 or #9. They time has come and gone forever.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul - Wavell Hinds = Shiv any day, even in this format....
Kieron Pollard - Kieron Pollard = tie, obviously.

David Bernard jnr - Narsing Deonarine = I actually pick Bernard to edge this in 20/20 cricket. Deo is a Test player, IMHO.

Guys what is the rush Chanderpaul will sit out when the time comes.
The young and new team members need to be mentored by the old/er at the crease and not from the pavilion/ or retirement deck chair. Australia and India do this to perfection as did West Indies of old- what happened? This new boy/blood fever pitch that we supporters get to because we want our new star to be included. Not to mention the partisan self interest that both local management/journalists of the Caribbean have displayed in the resent pass have prove to be the death knell of the Windies Cricket brand.
