who is just about o/d on T20 cricket? I am glad for the folks who get to make some money but I am just not into the IPL try as I might.
I hope ICC world T20 is more apealing.

IPL players make money because people are interested in the format. So yes, you're most likely on the fringe.

T20 does not hold any great thrills for me!

No u are not the only one. I cant look at it for more than 2 minutes at any given time. I am not a fan. Kudos to those who enjoy it.

You are not the only one. I have just a cusory interest in the whole format.
I don't go out of the way to follow the IPL, even though the information is at my figertips.
the ipl fever eh get me yet either
In reply to hewesleyb
No you are probably not the only one who enjoys a different game. It is silly to expect everybody to like the same thing. Those who like the T20 game and IPL or KFC or T20 CWC or whatever, watch it...good for them...and those who do not like it, follow their own game/s...good for them too.
There is no compulsion that everyone has to like all among three formats, and certainly no compulsion to have to like a particular event or contest.
It doesn't happen to many people....this T20 business.
In reply to hewesleyb
That's it, its about wining saris and Bollywood.
Cricket is the side show.
All those who dont like the IPL WOULD CHANGE THEIR TUNE IF THEIR COUNTRYMEN WAS PLAYING.
In reply to cherri

PS...u gots free tickets!
Me and music kool doan worry wid he
Will the true fans of the IPL please stand up?
Most fans that I know are not really thrilled about the IPL..
There interest levels range from about mild curiousity past outright disinterest to complete anathema.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
send me a PM and tell me the days you want to go and I will see if I have for those days.
In reply to Larr Pullo
that is my experience also!
In reply to hewesleyb ... maybe because no Dot in there ... or because Hunt not the prez?
I have been watching the matches for the first time because of where I am right now---stuck in a hotel room with not much else on TV, so its a good diversion when I need to take a break.
It does not move me either. To me, cricket is a battle between batting and bowling skills--remembering a good bowling spell. However, this is contrived to be a hitting contest.
This bullshit about countrymen not being involed or envy over the money that players make....is just a simplistic non-argument. I love the NBA and NFl...and I am not American.
It's all about fan allegiance or lackthereof. This can only be built up over years if not decades. So far, nobody really cares who wins or loses. It's not much more than exhibition cricket.
