Guyana

Brilliant all round cricket from man-of-the-match Lennox Cush and Narsingh Deonarine led Guyana to an eight-wicket win over the Windward Islands and a place in the finals of this year's unsponsored West Indies one-day competition.

Cush took 3-21 to limit the Windwards to 174 for nine off 50 overs and returned with the bat to stroke a responsible unbeaten 61 as Guyana coasted to 175 for 2 with overs to spare.

Deonarine was also brilliant, hitting 83 not out and claiming 2-36 with the ball.

After a breezy start, it was tough going for the Windwards against Guyana's spin-heavy bowling attack as Cush, Deonarine and Mahendra Nagamootoo (2-37) kept the batsmen on a tight leash throughout.

Craig Emmanuel (34), Darren Sammy (29), Junior Murray (27) and Devon Smith (24) were the main scorers for the Windwards.

Guyana will meet Trinidad & Tobago in the final at Kensington Oval on Sunday.
