Derbyshire sign Shivnarine Chanderpaul

Derbyshire have signed West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul on a two-year contract.

Chanderpaul, 38, is rated as the number two Test batsman and has scored more than 10,500 runs in 146 Test matches at an average of 51.67.

He is expected to be available for all three domestic competitions during the upcoming 2013 campaign.
