Why not a West Indian for the job?

Tony Becca writes an article in todays Gleaner questioning the need  for a world wide search for a new Director of Cricket for the WICB. He points out that "On that day at Lord's, a famous West Indian, a former West Indies cricketer, Learie Constantine, later to become Lord Constantine, and Sir Learie Constantine, was on the ground, an Englishman went across and congratulated him, and Constantine said, quietly and confidently, "Before this, we came to learn, this time we come to teach."
