WICB hopeful of settling with BCCI

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has officially responded to the letter received from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and remains confident that an amicable and mutually agreeable resolution can be found.
This according to a WICB media release yesterday which also revealed one change to the WICB appointed Task Force, which was set up to investigate the West Indies players’ withdrawal from the India tour.
The Task Force, chaired by Michael Gordon QC, also includes Sir Richard Cheltenham, who has replaced Dennis Lalor and former fast bowler Wes Hall with WICB attorney Alanna Medford serving as secretary and Gerard Pinard as Industrial Relations advisor.
According to the WICB release, Lalor withdrew from the Task Force in light of a potential conflict of interest.
The WICB said that the Task Force will “Investigate the cause of the actions perpetuated by the players leading to the withdrawal of their services.
