Permaul spins Jaguars to thrilling win
 
GEORGETOWN, Guyana, CMC – Windward Islands suffered another batting meltdown thanks to an eight-wicket haul from left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul, and crashed to a 92-run defeat to Guyana Jaguars, in their second round game in the WICB Professional Cricket League here Monday.


Pride snatch 4 points on shortened day
 

LUCAS STREET, Barbados, Nov 24, CMC – Predictably, Barbados Pride and Jamaica Franchise could only eke out a lame draw in their rain-wrecked second round match in the WICB Professional Cricket League here Monday.

With play finally getting underway for the first time in four days, only 43.4 overs were possible on the final day at the Windward Sports Club, and both teams meandered their way to whatever points they could salvage.

Sent in, Jamaica rattled up 111 for four declared off 40 overs, with Shacaya Thomas stroking a fluent 59 off 73 balls, with six fours.

 
Ottley leads Red Force to comeback win

BASSETERRE, St Kitts, CMC – Yannick Ottley hit his second first class half-century to carefully guide Trinidad and Tobago Red Force to their first win of the WICB Professional Cricket League here Monday.

The 23-year-old right-hander stroked a responsible, unbeaten 76 as Red Force, set 203 for victory at Warner Park, easily reached their target by six wickets and inflict a second straight defeat on the luckless Leeward Islands.
