Trinidad and Tobago all-rounder Kieron Pollard starred with the bat and ball to help the Cape Cobras clinch the 2014 Ram Slam T20 title with a 33-run win over Andre Russell and the Knights in the final at Newlands in Cape Town, South Africa, yesterday.

The all-rounder slammed an unbeaten 43 off 23 balls including six fours to lead the Cobras to 158 for four from their 20 overs. Pollard (three wickets for 21 runs) then grabbed three wickets in one over to deliver the victory for his side as the Knights were restricted to 125 for nine.

After winning the toss and batting first, the Cobras lost their first wicket via the run-out route in the third over with the score on five. They slipped to 72 for three in the 13th over before Pollard and Omphile Ramela (54 off 34 balls) put on a 68-run partnership off 37 balls for the fourth wicket to revive the innings.
