A highly paid Indian Premier League (IPL) coach and the mastermind behind the West Indies’ first defeat at the ICC Cricket World Cup are the two front-runners for the position of head coach of the regional team.
Robin Singh and Phil Simmons both aged 51, have been identified as two of the seven candidates that the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) have short-listed and are eyeing to take over the reins of the team ever since Otis Gibson was given his walking papers last year.
