Jonathan Trott has earned a call-up to the England squad for the upcoming three-Test series in the West Indies, starting April 13, for the first time since he left the Ashes tour in Australia in 2013-14 due to a stress-related illness.

“Jonathan Trott produced some outstanding performances for Warwickshire last summer scoring five centuries and also made an unbeaten double hundred during the recent successful England Lions tour,” said James Whitaker, the national selector, while announcing the squad on Wednesday (March 18). “He is a player of proven international pedigree and we are delighted to welcome him back into the squad.”
