Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka named left-arm spinner Milinda Siriwardene and 20-year old Kusal Mendis in the 15-man squad for the upcoming Test series at home against West Indies. Upul Tharanga and Jehan Mubarak, who featured for Sri Lanka in the series against India, were the notable absentees in the Angelo Mathews-led side, that is looking to bounce back after successive series defeats to Pakistan and India.

Kusal Mendis, who captained the Sri Lankan side in the Under-19 World Cup in UAE last year, has been earmarked for success at the international level by former cricketers. He will be joined in the squad by the 29-year old Siriwardene, who made his limited-overs debut against Pakistan in July.
