Gayle not blacklisted for BBL, says Sutherland

James Sutherland, the Cricket Australia chief executive, has clarified that Chris Gayle had not been blacklisted from the Big Bash League over the sexism scandal that marred the tournament earlier this year.
Gayle made headlines in January when he attempted to flirt with Mel McLaughlin, the television reporter, during a live interview. On air, Gayle said he was happy to be speaking to McLaughlin, “just to see your eyes for the first time” and suggested they go for a drink afterwards. “Don’t blush baby,” he told her in the exchange.
