Trinidad & Tobago The West Indies Players' Association (WIPA) has added two new staffers to strengthen its operations: chief operations offier Roland Hosein and cricket development manager Suruj Ragoonath.

Both Hosein and Ragoonath bring to the association a wealth of experience in their respective fields and would greatly assist in achieving its goals of protecting the players', interests, improving their welfare and promoting the sport of cricket throughout the region, WIPA said in an statement

Hosein is an attorney and law and financial consultant with a background in taxation and corporate law. He previously worked at Ernst & Young, KPMG and the Board of Inland Revenue. Hosein was part of the WIPA negotiating team that settled various agreements with the WICB, including the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Memorandum of Understanding and Retainer Contracts.

Ragoonath, a former Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies opening batsman, holds a Level 2 WICB Coaching certificate and is currently pursuing a Sports Management degree at UWI.

In terms of cricket administration he is a former executive of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board.
