WICB, WIPA make progress on CBA but no deal yet

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC) – The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) says “significant progress” has been made with the West Indies Players Association (WIPA) on the controversial Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), following nearly three days of meetings here last week.
The Board and WIPA sat down with a three-man mediation team from the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Federation of International Cricketers Association (FICA), to hammer out a solution to the long-running issue that has plagued relations between both parties.
And though the Board was upbeat about the ongoing negotiations, it cautioned there was still plenty work left to be done before a full deal could be reached.
