Garner re-elected as BCA president for fifth straight two-year term

Bridgetown, Barbados, August 27 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Joel Garner has been re-elected as president of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) for a fifth consecutive two-year term.
At this evening's 13th Special Meeting at Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Garner, a former Barbados captain and West Indies fast bowling great, defeated Conde Riley 127 to 101 votes. There were two spoilt votes.
Riley also lost to Garner two years ago (166-121).
Deighton Smith was retained as First vice-president as well, beating Calvin Hope 121-109. There were five spoilt votes.
Maurice Gaskin is the new Second vice-president. He was elected unopposed. That position had been held by Wendell Kellman.
