Former WICB cricket operations chief Michael Hall has landed the prime job as Executive Director of the company handling Jamaica's World Cup 2007 bid.

Sources say Hall has been seconded from his job as CEO of the National Stadium Complex to run the operations of Jamaica Cricket 2007 Ltd., the company established by the government of Jamaica to marshall the bidding for World Cup games.

Hall, who resigned as chief cricket operations officer of the WICB last June, will oversee the delivery of the bid response from the two stadia -- Sabina Park and the 'Greenfield' in Trelawny in the run-up to the World Cup bidding process.

Depending on the packages awarded to Jamaica during the Venue Assessment period, Hall will be tasked with with running the preparations to get the facilities ready.

Under terms of the secondment, he will split his time evenly with the National Stadium Complex.

The 43-year-old Hall joined the WICB in 2001 when the executive secratary position held by Andrew Sealy was made redundant. Before that, he served as general manager of the Sports Development Foundation in Jamaica.
