Hinds, King Get the Axe
Mon, Apr 25, '05
Guyanese all-rounder Narsingh Deonarine has been recalled to the West Indies team for the final Test against South Africa.
The 22-year-old Deonarine, who made his Test debut in the first Test, takes the place of Ryan Hinds, the left-hander who struggled mightily with bat and ball. In another straight swap, pacer Reon King was dropped in favour of Tino Best.
The 24-year-old Best is returning from a back injury. He last appeared in a Test match for the West Indies nine months ago.
The rest of the squad remains unchanged from the side that lost inside four days in Barbados.
