Former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd and Texan businessman R. Allen Stanford are likely to join the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) to head up two specialist committees to deal with restructuring, finance and cricket matters, sources tell CaribbeanCricket.com.

At a meeting of its directors Trinidad & Tobago last weekend, the board approved the creation of the two specialist committees. Lloyd, who lost a bid to serve as vice president of the West Indies cricket board, will be asked to head up the cricket committee which the board said "would play a dominant role in influencing cricket decisions."

Proposals for the re-structuring of the Board were also addressed and onsideration to amend the Articles of Association to include up to four additional directors has had to be referred back to the Member Boards.

The WICB said restructuring will be pursued following decisions of the territorial boards on the amendment to the Articles & Memorandum of Association.
