Team Selection

Antiguan batsman Sylvester Joseph has been appointed captain of the West Indies 'A' team to play two unofficial 'Tests' and five one-day games against a visiting England 'A' side.

Joseph will lead a team that includes 8 players with experience at the senior (Test) level and 3 'A' team newcomers.

In addition to Joseph, the side includes Barbados skipper Ryan Hinds, Jamaican batting stylist Marlon Samuels, Guyanese all-rounder Narsingh Deonarine, wicketkeeper Carlton Baugh and fast bowlers Tino Best and Jermaine Lawson.

Guyana opener Siewnarine Chattergoon joins Trinidad & Tobago's Lendl Simmons at the top of the order while Dave Mohammed gets the nod as the lone specialist spinner.

Jamaican pacer Andrew Richardson, who has struggled throughout his career with injuries, also won a place in the side along with fellow newcomer Dale Richards. Richard Kelly will round out the bowling attack.

The first unofficial Test against England 'A' will be played at the Antigua Recreation Ground from February 24-27. The second 'Test' will take place at the Beausejour Cricket Ground in St. Lucia from March 3-6, followed by two One-Day matches on March 9 and 11 at the same venue.

The final three One-Day matches March 14, 17 and 19 will be played in Barbados.
