Windies 'A'

West Indies fast bowler Jerome Taylor has been withdrawn from the West Indies 'A' team tour to England this month and has been replaced by all-rounder Omari Banks.

Head coach Bennett King explained that the decision was taken out of an abundance of caution.

"Due to Taylor's history of injuries, and the amount of cricket to played from October to the World Cup, the West Indies Cricket Board has decided to go down the road of caution and ease his workload."

Banks, a 23-year-old Anguillan off-spinner, has played in 10 Tests for the senior West Indies team.

The 16-man squad, which will be led by Antiguan Sylvester Joseph, departs for the United Kingdom on July 17 and will return on August 21.

The team will play nine matches, including a two-day fixture against the Pakistan Test team.

The one-day matches are scheduled against Worcestershire, Derbyshire, Glamorgan, and Hampshire while the three-day matches will be against Durham, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, and Nottinghamshire.
