Mali Richards in UWI Vice Chancellor's XI

Mali Richards, the heralded son of former West Indies batting maestro Viv Richards, has been named in University of the West Indies (UWI) Vice Chancellor's XI to play against the visiting New Zealand team next month.

The 18-year-old England-born left-hander was named in the team that also includes hot prospects Devon Smith and Tino Best. The Vice Chancellor's XI will be captained by world record-holder Courtney Walsh and also includes former West Indies openers Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes.
