Just wondering why he was dropped? His recent ODI performances have been quite decent.
That said, good to see 3 genuine pace bowlers and Narine in the mix.

Decent?

Let me repeat; Pollard, Bravo and Sammy cannot be in the same ODI team.
One or two would have to be left out.
Which one would you leave out?
Think back to when Sammy was elevated to the captaincy and then look at the 'availability' of the other two in that time.

You asked a question and then answered it in the next breath

What makes Jason Holder a genuine quick? He bowls no faster than Sammy. However, some persons will always conveniently see what they want to.
Sammy will also soon be relieved of the T20 Captaincy, but he can hold his head high, as he always gave of his best under all circumstances; and has remained a genniunely decent human being!

I saw Holder bowl at Mid 130's. When did you last see Sammy bowl at 130? Also Holder will bowl his 10 Overs most times while with Sammy you know better
Can he keep wicket?
bravo is the captain - cannot drop him
polly is making runs - cannot drop him
sammy is fetching water - him gon keep fetching water

Let me help him:
Sammy's last 10 ODI scores:
29* VS PAK
5, 63* 37* vs IND
43* vs NZD
1* VS IRD
61, 3 ,24 VS ENG
Averaging 66 with the bat. Including two MOM vs India and NZD.
His bowling has been economical as usual with a 4.30 econ with 4 wickets an ave of 43.
In reply to voiceofreason... so how you rate them overall bowling figures?
In reply to natty_forever
Sammy bowls in the middle overs so his role is to keep it tight and if that is the case well he did a decent job.
In reply to Dizzy
Sammy bowls a slow 120mph whie holder bowls mid 130s.Batsmen have time time to adjust to that pace.

If the criteria for a good cricketer is to be a decent human being then Sammy would be a great.

I myself was wondering the same. I really don't know what Pollard was doing in the playing 11 before Sammy.
In reply to brians_da_best
go find a damn job.
Hilarious how you Sammy supporters are using performance and stats based criteria for selection.
[b]In reply to djdrastic[/But the Sammy haters use it conveniently against Sammy

You totally missed the point but please carry on sir.

Magrath used to bowl at 130 to 135km. I am not comparing Holder to Magrath but he had impeccable control and swing at that speed.
Go ask Chris Gale and Starwan about Chaminda Vass and Magrath pace respectively.
Not every bowler need express pace to wreck a batting side.
Top notch scab, clapper and brown noser.

Yes but sammy has done nothing as bowler. In england when it swings he gets wickets as well.Vaas has more skill.Holder is improving all the time.

The selectors are at last intuitive. Pollard's performance in the 1st match actually allowed us to eke out a win.
I can't recall when if at all $ammy returned similar performance.
