The Bangadesh tests will be Shiv's last, ending an illustrious career and dedicated service to the WI and to cricket.
A press conference with Shiv, Lloyd and other WICB officers will be held shortly to announce this "mutual" decision

Shiv told of farewell series
In reply to Emir
Mutual decision??
Sounds like he is being forced out
They ill-treated Lara, why should Shiv be any different...
Emir also said that the Tallawahs would be playing in the Champions League.

In reply to Commie
Ooops.
In reply to Commie
OK, I got that one wrong from my source, but many others were true and indeed the Ganga scoop was exclusive.
I do not ask anyone to believe me, but lets just wait and see.
In reply to Emir
What Ganga scoop?
BULLSHIT
In reply to Emir
Any time the Windies push Shiv out, you know the Test side is going to hit rock bottom....
Shiv averaged over 48 in the last Test series, at home to NZ. Only Kraigg and Blackwood averaged higher, and neither played the whole series, like he did. Shiv scored 195 runs - only Kraigg and Gayle scored more.
Only a complete bunch of idiots would push Shiv out now...rather, they should be on their knees, begging him to continue!
In reply to mikesiva
Too right.
Positives from this is WI can lose test matches in 1.5/2 days now and have some extra holiday time in between tests.
In reply to jen
Looks like he is American
In reply to jen
Hmmmmm we never learned the name of the incestuous Trini....
Lol, there can't be any element of truth here. Emir with 90 posts, and les than one month on this board, has 0 credibility whatsoever.
In reply to brians_da_best
Yuh forget to add the posts from his/her/it handles
In reply to Emir
time is rite. Thanks Shiv.
In reply to anthonyp
would be like another 90 by 4 lol lol
In reply to brians_da_best
You speaking of credibility?
In reply to positiveg
Prove it
In reply to anthonyp
Which ones?
In reply to Jabari18
Jabs, what are you talking bout?
In reply to chunnie
Chunnie or cunt=ie or fackie or whatever else you look like, go take a chill pill woman.
Waiting for the press conference, mr 0 credibility emir
Wouldn't surprise me. Shiv getting close to Lara record. Them Trinis nasty. Ramdin probably looking to retire the man.
Shiv is the best West Indian batsman. He should play till he is 50 if he wants to. Is it not about performance ? If he is performing why should he be asked to end his career ?
In reply to brians_da_best
Look out for it after the Bangla series.
In reply to Emir
Hahaha, from before the series to after.
When he's 40 you know such a conference will come sooner or later. How about wait for it, it could come anywhere in the next 2 yrs
In reply to brians_da_best
Never did I claim the press conference will be before the series begin- go check what I wrote. the plan is for him to go out in a bang and what better opponents to do so against.
I find it strange that he was told this and he did not run to the press.....the last set of people just made a suggestion to him and he ran to the press so fast, now this crowd informing him that this is his last mass and he quiet...........damn.....this new set-up doing a kennel pon west indies cricket and not a boy dare pick dey teet'........
In reply to cherri
Its a different situation lady. With Gibson- 3 years ago he was being pushed out, with Clive- 3 years forward he is approaching 41 and the time is right- at home and against opponents that he can go off in grand style.
Nowhere did I claim Shiv was not aligned with the decision.
In reply to Emir
And I can tell you with a great degree of certainty that was not the case.......anyhow, seeing that you have now become the resident informant, I will go no further with you.......who knows, you may be onto something.........
1 format he is playing for WI and is performing so if this is true, I doubt it is, then WICB are wrong here.
Any if this is indeed true they are forking idiots, if you want to plan for the future and retire Shiv then the time to do that would've been vs NZ so you can use this current Bangladesh series to give the guy who's going to replace him an easy start before going away to India and South Africa.
In reply to cherri
I am no resident informant, but my source is very certain on this one and I have no reason to doubt her.
In reply to Andy99
Once can also flip your argument and say, giving him Bangladesh is the tastiest piece of meat that you could have possibly given him as a parting gift, what better way to send him out.
In reply to mikesiva
Why you making me laugh Mike.
I have heard this argument before with Lara. Now it is with Shiv. With all due respect to these great, yes I said, great players, when they were/are leaving the team was/is at the bottom of the pile so how far lower can it go?

word
In reply to Emir
Here is the thing to do Emir. Keep the news. Don't share. Does your 'source' know that you are sharing what he/she told you, in a public forum?
#not_politically_correc
#just_saying
In reply to Emir
And ESPECIALLY since you're a newbie. Doesn't look good. Unless you're Shiv himself
In reply to Yamfoot
Sharing it is the idea
In reply to Yamfoot
1. Not a newbie- I have been posting for years now
2. I am not Shiv
In reply to Emir
you were reincarnated?
It shows that you joined on 8 Aug and you have 133 posts.
In reply to Yamfoot
He's been banned on his alt accounts for offensive behavior before.A real piece of work this guy
In reply to archangel
How much lower can we go?
Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are currently ranked below us....
Seriously, can you imagine this Test team touring India and South Africa later this year WITHOUT Shiv?
In reply to Emir
then what are you? shiv buckta.
This is Shiv's last home series; hence, a home farewell.
It would be interesting to know what Clive Lloyd is thinking beyond the Bang tour - Jaip, Westdem you supposedly met CL recently?
In reply to Yamfoot
I have not be reincarnated. If you think a little deeper you will get the answer you seek
In reply to Emir
I dont like deep thinking
In reply to Yamfoot
Not capable of it?
In reply to Yamfoot
Don't those who enjoy writing such as yourself like to think deep?

YOU DRIVING SHIV WAGON? FRIDAY
It is emir nonsense... I mean errant nonsense... to suggest that age by itself should be the determinant of a cricketer's abilities or best-before date. Chanderpaul is living proof of that kind of foolishness.

In reply to Emir
Sounds like he is being forced out
A hope advertising is yuh business. It takes a lot of skill to generate so much innuendo about suggestions/feelings based on a rumour.
Of course there is always a man like Jiap who can smell:-
