HEADLINE: West Indies squad for first Dhaka Bank Test against Bangladesh

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – The Selection Panel of the West Indies Cricket Board announced today a 13-member West Indies squad for the first Dhaka Bank Test against Bangladesh, starting next Friday at the Arnos Vale Multiplex in St. Vincent.

Denesh Ramdin (Captain), Sulieman Benn, Jermaine Blackwood
Kraigg Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul
Kirk Edwards, Shannon Gabriel, Christopher Gayle, Jason Holder, Kemar Roach
Shane Shillingford, Jerome Taylor
Two players who were considered for selection to the Test squad have opted to play in the Champions League which has an ICC approved window on the international schedule. The players’ decisions will not have any deleterious effect on consideration for future West Indies selection.

What does deleterious mean?
Part of the word is "delete" so might have something to do with that?

Huh? You never learned Geography in school or wha. All Caribbean islands are dots on the world atlas except Cuba and Hispaniola.
Go read a book okay...
