Narine is a star in India.They love the man there and rightly so.

So why should he give up his millions to get ridiculed by non Trinidadians?

Narine should stay as far away from Test cricket as possible because the ICC is cracking down on pelting. Narine clearly has the ability to bowl when tested though.

What's the point of a retainer contract if the player can play wherever he wants whenever he wants? Did Jamaica Dave really change the retainers to allow that? Is the WICB giving away free money?

At the time we were cussing dem, but we realized later how grossly underpaid those guys were back then. The WICB was pretending the Counties were their payroll fir WI cricketers. Loyalty to west indies back then did little for those who no longer made Test teams, most ended up with very little after.

We seemed to let the politics if back then overtake the reality. The WICB used the oldest political trick in the book to sway public opinion but they dont practice it when the shoe is on the other foot.

In any case Lloyd doesnt make the rules if elligibility he follows what his bosses say. Narine is not banned from Test cricket either just wont be selected when there is a conflict of interest.

Lloyd etal made sure future players no longer played for free. Some one has to change things

All that bullshit bout loyalty went out the window when Packer called,Kallicharran showed loyalty,that did him no good,Lloyd came back and was promptly made cappo,no wonder Kalli later on went South Africa.
