ICC Press release
West Indies player Darren Bravo has been found guilty of a Level 1 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct during the fourth and final day’s play in the second Test against Bangladesh in St. Lucia on Tuesday.
Bravo was found to have breached Article 2.1.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “…Where the facts of the alleged incident are not adequately or clearly covered by any of the above offences, conduct that either : (a) is contrary to the spirit of the game; or (b) brings the game into disrepute.”
Bravo had been warned on several occasions not to approach and verbally offend the opposition batsmen and repeatedly failed to heed the umpires’ instructions. Bravo disputed the offence and a formal hearing was then conducted by ICC Match Referee Roshan Mahanama, with the charge having initially been brought by on-field umpires Stephen Davis, Richard Illingworth, Third Umpire Marais Erasmus and Fourth Umpire Peter Nero. Mr Mahanama found the player guilty and issued a fine of 30 per cent of his match fee.
Following the hearing, ICC Match Referee Mahanama said: “The umpires felt that the player’s behaviour brought the game into disrepute and he was reminded of his responsibilities to extend respect at all times to both his opponent and to match officials.”

Shocking behavior by Darren Bravo. He was warned yet he continued. Yes, he should spend more time catching than sledging.

Wrong- To abuse the weakest in the world is disgraceful.

Warned on several occasions. He deserves the fine. Seriously why would you sledge a Bangladeshi Batsman? Most of them cannot focus for more than ten minutes. The team is already a disaster.
Bravo is a punk...Let him go and sledge AB, Hamla and Kohli.

If the players keep it between themselves, then it's fine.
Are you saying that it's okay for a player to openly defy the umpires?

We had an animal on our team for years. I bet Bravo never asked his teammates any such question.

So you saying he should ignore the umpires? What kind of discipline are you subscribing to?
No wonder he could not make runs against the weakest test team.

A friend told me last night that he could hear Tamim over the stump-mike asking Ramdin during an animated conversation to tell one of the West Indies players to stop talking about his mother. This friend was watching to see which player Ramdin would speak to after the exchange with Tamim, but Ramdin just returned to his position without saying a peep to anyone.
My friend was surprised when I told him that Bravo was fined because he expected that Benn would have been the culprit telling Tamim about his mother.

Nah man. Tino said the same shite to Malik during CPL. Mothers are no longer sacred. Not on CC and not on the field of play.
