Lara batted,never padded his avg,never batted for the N.O.


Shiv's sole purpose is to get a n.o,not even a century,Lara on the other hand reached milestones with sixes and fours.

You guys sick to even try to compare them..

Allyuh can't be good for the game...lol...everyone knows the truth,everyone has seen them both,,this is just an exercise in agenda..only agenda would suggest Shiv is anywhere near Lara's class...

The lies bhai..I always maintained that no matter what anyone get's they cannot take away from Lara.

How come that same concept applies to Viv and Bradman,one with a higher avg and one with a lower avg than Lara? How exactly are we judging Lara? Why can't Lara be afforded the same deserved dignity? But instead men twisting sterile numbers to prove Shiv better than Lara...lol

Better doing what??? Are you sure men on this MB say "Shiv better than Lara".

Seems like there is a disconnect with Shiv's supporters....those who want him to be recognized as a great batsman, and the people who don't want him to be considered great because he will overturn their concept of a great West Indian batsman.

So what if he is methodical, disciplined, focused and I pleasing to the eyes? Is he performing at the highest level consistently? What if his not outs were replaced with significantly higher scores in he had played with a better bunch of players?

At the end of the day greatness isn't measured by beauty otherwise Carl hooper would have been the greatest? Our proclivities for judging greatness stems from our desire to lend legitimacy to some arbitrary standards. Shiv May or may not be great but one cannot deny that the man is a genius.

Bravos relax, no one dethroning Lara.

I can compile a list of bowlers with similar n.o numbers. Because a man bat for a n.o,doesn't mean others batted for the out,but in the pursuit of runs risks are taken and the likelihood of getting out increases,but in the pursuit of a n.o,risks aren't taken,time passes,strike rates are dragged,runs eventually come,and a high volume of n.o's are the result,your statement does not make any type of sense.

Shiv bats for the n.o every time,he even sacrifices other batsmen to achieve that,this is common knowledge and it;'s fugly,twist how much you want..
