I suppose Oz, NZ, and Zim not on the same level. Chicumbura has form.Franklin his been failing. Chicumbura should have been a permanent fixture in tridents batting line up. Its ok for franklin to fail. I suppose he will get the last game when all chances are gone.

Franklin is the best T20 bat on that Tridents team.
Just a shame he has contributed but deserves a run.

After the first match many were cussing Elton now he is some kind of savior?

It's not the Tridents management that's going crazy in the field...

In reply to Andy99 Rubbish. Franklin had a brief purple patch. Never been much of a batsman and was always a runs truck as a bowler.

You need to back up your claim about Franklin as he has been a passenger for a long while.

I support the sacking of Dowrich

Franklin had a brief purple patch.

He has played 158 T20 matches, batted 142 times, averages 30 with a strike rate of 125.
That ain't no patch its a career.

Never been much of a batsman

Very good numbers as a batsman in T20 as posted above.
18 FC tons with an average of 36 isn't bad either.

was always a runs truck as a bowler.

Wouldn't say always but its true for now as he has developed into more of a batsman than a bowler.
Played just 31 Tests, after his 20th his record stood at 75 wickets at 27 which was top class then after another Test he was away for a couple of years and returned a poorer bowler.

You need to back up your claim about Franklin as he has been a passenger for a long while.

3 matches.

He has played for 9 franchise teams in his T20 career.
7 when you minus Tridents who he has played with just 3 times and Adelaide Strikers just 1 appearances.
His averages for each teams were:
Essex - 27
Glamorgan - 31
Gloucestershire - 32
Guy Amazon Warr - 50
Mumbai Indians - 28
Notthinghamshire - 17
Wellington - 39

So off the 7 teams he's played for, the lowest amount of matches being 8, he has only failed with the bat for one team.

It didn't work out for Tridents and Franklin these last two weeks but he is a proven performer at this level so there lies no fault in the Tridents going for Franklin and playing him in all 3 matches thus far.

Dese are some real selective stats. Even so ah would hazard a guess dat Franklin averages around 26 for about 60% of his innings given de figures you posted. And just to add a few more selective stats he avereaged 17 in all T20 innings played between June of dis year and de Champions League

Only the Tests were selective, mostly to show how far he has regressed as a bowler.
T20s weren't really around back then.

In reply to Andy99 Just noted and point accepted. I was unfairly looking at his recent form and his T20I performances and not recognizing that he has played a hell of a lot of club T20 cricket - enough to deserve not to be accused of having a "purple patch".
