Rumours started about players discontent
They asked WICB for re-assurances that your would go on- no guarantees were forth coming
BCCI approached the players for assurances- First they said ok, but talk to WICB
No progress was made - Players said they going home
BCCi puts Sri Lanka on standby and told the WICB to make a call
WICB offered replacement players - BCCI said no way get back to me in two days
Three four days passed and BCCI asked WICB to make a call now (Can you re-assure us or not)
WICB couldnt reassure and said ok, go ahead with Sri Lanka tour is off
