Gibson, who took up the post in January 2010 after a spell as England's bowling coach, says he was shocked when WICB president Whycliffe Dave Cameron fired him over the phone.
So Dave does have a working phone. Phew.

And why is the WICB president firing people (whether by phone or whatever)? Is Muirhead even a real person?

Dude, I'm convinced Muirhead isn't a real person. Can anyone on this board say definitively that he exists? Have you seen or spoken to him? I'm serious.

His time was up after the 2011 CWC where he packed the team with helpless ass kissers and blame the seniors.

As we now see, coaching this lot is a virtual treat.
Walk well Gibbo.

Trust you to slink back in when the coast is looking a bit clear...at around midnight.
You know when Marlon Samuels is the only good Jamaican standing that things are dire.

Gibson to Dave during NZ Series: "I quit Dave. Tek yuh job and shove it!"
Dave in his best James Brown impression: Please Please Please Hotis, don't go."
Gibson in response: "Okay Dave I'll continue for now."
Gibson before Bangladesh Series: "I quit Dave, and I really mean it this time."
Dave in his best James Brown impression: Please Please Please Hotis, don't go."
Gibson in response: "Okay Dave I'll continue for now."
Dave: "Good, I got yuh now. You're fired."
As I have said on here before, it was a classic "You can't quit, you're fired" moment
One more thing. It seems like Dave has problems dealing with people face to face, preferring instead to hide out in Dubai or operate over the phone.

There's a behind the scenes effort to bring back Gibson as West Indies head coach after Cameron, Muirhead and Pybus are jettisoned. I'm hearing that Shiv is 100 percent on board. The only sticking point in the negotiations is that Gibson is insisting that his new term commence when hell freezes over

Is there a case here for wrongful dismissal or shall I say unfair dismissal based on this expose?

My guess is that Gibson is happy to sit on his ass and collect a check for doing nothing while all of the things he warned the CM&P boys about come to pass. It's becoming clearer every day that the board made a huge error siding with Pybus over him.

I would take Gibbo over many others and certainly over the white guy Pybus who is already 'bussing' up WI cricket
Is he still around ? the Supremo seems very silent. Hope he is kicked to the curb as Cameron and Hinds should have been already

Do you honestly believe that Cameron of his own volition , had the power & authority to fire Otis Gibson ????
I find that impossible to believe , since Cameron is answerable to the Presidents of the Regional Boards . It is absurd that
in this Forum ; many are calling for Cameron to resign ; while leaving those with more power than he has unscathed .
