Lara: Hinds doing a good job

WIPA president Wavell Hinds is handling the situation well, according to Lara, who hopes a solution to the saga is found.

"Hinds was selected and I believe he is capable of doing a very good job," he said.

"As I said, I don't know all the details, but Wavell Hinds is a very competent person and I'm sure that between himself - as president of WIPA - and the players, they're going to get their matter in control."

"You hear stories with Sir Frank Worrell, right through to the Kerry Packer days, to today. Those issues have not been handled properly over the years and maybe they're still festering as we speak."

Did he miss something that needed to be add here? lol lol

Thats a big difference from doing.

Commie spotted yuh BOLD-FACED lie. Lara was never quoted as saying that Hinds was "doing a good job" as your title seems to imply. That was just the author putting his own bias on things.

Again, Lara was quoted as saying:

"Hinds was selected and I believe he is capable of doing a very good job,"

"I don't know all the details, but Wavell Hinds is a very competent person and I'm sure that between himself - as president of WIPA - and the players, they're going to get their matter in control."

Actually, I believe that Lara is being overly diplomatic. To still trust that the Hinds and the (WI) players are "going to get their matter in control" seems incredibly naive.

Lara: Hinds doing a good job

Is not the same as

"Hinds was selected and I believe he is capable of doing a very good job," he said.

lol lol lol.....................fantastic question.

Apparently, she is somewhere happily watching Younis Khan bat. Like she looking for a new batsman to like.

Lara has been saying some things contrary to her confused utterances.

No doubt in my mind that Lara believes the players were wrong to leave India. If he supported what they did nothing would stop him from coming out and saying it outright, especially given his history with the board.

And for him to then come and say Hinds is capable.

Lara should be the last person to comment. He did the same thing as these players. In fact worse because he did it to Nelson Mandela.

Well he obviously sees it as a different situation.

That is a problem with lots of West Indians. They can't afford to buy mirrors.

Lara has always been a diplomat. Even when he was run out of WI cricket he did not say a comment on the issue... So dream on if he is going to expect him to come hard against any one party.
