WICB TO DECLARE BANKRUPTCY

XDFIX 2014-10-31 23:01:26

AND TELL BCCI TO SHOVE IT!

BCCI supported the players and by doing so undermine WICB.

A replacement team they would not accept!

Thank you, most people are missing this point.

If the BCCI wanted cricket, there would be cricket.

Amen

Put an end to this non-franchise franchise model in the CPL lol

WICB needed to have improved governance or face its own demise for failing to do so. The moment of truth has arrived. The WICB has continued along a path of arrogance and self-destruction until meeting a superior and potentially deadly force, which if provoked, could justifiably hit back and destroy.

WICB should say that they will only be able to repay if the FTP is continued and may be WI might play additional matches to compensate for the loses. It is absurd to loose the Future tours and also a penalty.

If WICB plays its cards right it can come out of this smelling like a rose!

The fact is I am not even sure there is a legal contract between these two entities

Yuh know these calypso boys play fast and loose with anything writing

Where is lawyer fan when yuh need him?

A mere agreement doth not maketh a contract. Moreover, with the BCCI assuring players of IPL contracts shouldn't that have ramifications in this debacle?

I would not ASSume anything. This is the Caribbesan or more precisely West Indies. They do things differently, very differently.

There is no relationship where IPL contracts are concerned.
But if WICB feels that way, Sue the damn BCCI, Sue them.

In the real world, I have full authority on who I accept in my house. In this case, BCCI accepted the #no 1 team from WI. They are not obligated to accept any less.It was another insult to your hosts to try and foist a team on them. It is not as if you area #2 ranked team and your replacements are also very good or equivalent as when Rowe took players to South Africa while WI hosting India and both teams winning. ( Rowe's team would have given Lloyd's more than a run for their money)

Get your village lawyers.

Be careful though less you and WICB thinks their fart is perfume. lol

While WICB might not agree to BCCI demands for Change in Leadership, that is much needed for WI since they are in a loss - Loss situation.

If they fight and win the legal dispute they still will have to face an even aggressive BCCI

If they agree to pay they might become backrupt.

Like Roberts said it is important for WICB to start their dialogue with BCCI. I am surprised that WICB has not tried that since the series was called off officially.
