Lets make a Deal & then Lets play Charade >>>>>>

POINT 2014-11-19 12:57:36

There are two Charades that people in this Forum need to examine very carefully . I am fully aware that some may disagree; however the facts speak for themselves .

The First is that Dave Cameron on his own , is not as powerful as some people may believe
The REAL POWER in the WICB resides with the
Presidents of the Regional Boards . The very fact that they selected ; and voted for Cameron to be the President of the WICB is
concrete proof of this fact .

This obviously means that Cameron cannot wield power unless he has the support of the Regional Boards Presidents . This beig the case ; it is stupid calling only for Cameron to go , when he was only doing the bidding of the Presidents of the Regional Boards who selected & voted for Cameron . They must also go with Cameron .

The second Charade that is being foisted on us is the Machiavellian tactic employed by both Cameron & the Presidents of the Regional Boards ; Cameron is in the Role of Good Cop ; while the Regional Boards Presidents ; who are the most prominent members of the WICB ;are in the Role of Bad Cop .

Cameron in his role as the President of the WICB states that there will not be any victimization of the Players who went to India .

However the Presidents of the Regional Boards have decided that they were not obliged to accept or agree with whatever Cameron agreed to do . They therefore decided to remove Players who were Captains of their Territorial Teams , who were Captains of the 3 formats of the game who went to India . These are not very serious people .

Lets see...KB going on Tour, he captaining Barbados...Leon going on tour, he captaining Guyana, Ramdin going on tour as WI Cappo (maybe) but he cannot captain T&T....Sammy and Bravo in SA suh dem cannot be victim yet....yuh right, TTCB penalizing the suspected players on behalf of WICB!!! cool

In reply to WestDem TTCB, again, i say, is 'punishing' ramdin because he, ramdin wuz not vociferous in not supporting the continuation of the tour. Somehow, ttcb, thinks ramdin should have had the foresight to continue the tour N should have made it known to big bravo.

Dude! collectively the players pull out...ALL of them and what TTCB did to Ramdin was just malicious and vindictiveness....they are a big part of the problem...why did Guyana and Barbados did the opposite?

In reply to WestDem We have to look at the big picture. But, players, india, money, what d fact? Hopefully, things will work out....

Let me ask you a couple questions .

1. In its proposed lawsuit , the BCCI did
not include the Players . Do you know ; or have an idea why the BCCI did not include
the Players in its proposed Lawsuit ???

2. Cameron was in DuBai ; an hour away
from India , Did he go to India to avert the
Crisis ??? Do you believe that Cameron showed foresight by not going to Dubai ???

3. Do you believe that Cameron has more
power than those who selected & voted for
him to be the President of the WICB ???

It's only logical for BBCI to: 1. Go to wicb/wipa - they are in charge.

2. He was shortsighted in not making that trip - dunce!
3. He's head of wicb N there are times when he doesnt have to rationalize his decision(s). He would be prudent, however, to consult/apprise them on matters.

The real reason why Cameron did not go to Dubai is the fact that the Presidents of the Regional Boards who have Individual &
Collective power IN THE WICB , ordered Cameron not to go to Dubai .Remember as I have stated in this Post .

THEY SELECTED AND VOTED FOR CAMERON TO

BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE WICB . OBVIOUSLY

THIS MEANS THEY HAVE MORE POWER THAN

CAMERON HAS . HE HAS TO OBEY THE

INSTRUCTIONS HE IS GIVEN BY THEM .

I am awaiting responses from the Apologists
for those in the governance of Cricket in the Region & the Sad Lot of people in the Region who call themselves Sports Journalists ; but in reality are Shills for the Worst International
Cricket Board in the World .

It is truly beyond belief that Many in the Region will cast their Lot with People who have for decades rather than focusing on improving Cricket in the Region so that Sponsors can come on Board and inject money to raise not only the Standard of
Cricket in the Region , but also the
Fortunes of our Players & Team in the
International Arena .

Instead those in the governance of Cricket in the Region are only concerned
with being in the governance of Cricket in the Region , nothing else matters to
them .

They have commissioned Reports ; and swiftly rejected them .Why ?? because
these Reports call for changes , and
in their Bunker mentality they are
afraid of change that might delude
their Power .

In the meantime the ICC stands back and
bluntly refuses to admonish them for
their atrocious governance of Cricket
in the Region . It too , is only
concerned with making money , nothing else matters to it .Unaware of the fact that the actions of the WICB also dents its image while muttering that
Governments must not intervene in
Cricket .

Any fact finding Committee that includes
current personnel of the WICB ; in my opinion is not only tainted ; but not independent .

Look Cameron's job is to implement instructions he gets from the Presidents of the Regional Boards . If he tries to stray off the Reservation , it is very easy for them to embarrass or undermine him .

You need to remember they selected , & voted
for him to be the President of the WICB . That obviously means that HE is not only beholden to THEM . He has to do their bidding at all times .

BeatDball 2014-11-21 20:37:33

In reply to POINT Why isnt any pressure put on wicb to implement the Patterson Report? Wuznt money spent on getting this report done? Are they just going to have this report in the 'bottom drawer'? I mean U always talk about it. Now, PM Gonsalves is saying the same. Isnt the intelligentsia in the region see what's is happening? That things have to be managed properly N smoothly. We are a small entity! Things should go smoothly! I guess, the sports writers will have to initiate this blitzkrieg on wicb before anyone does anything.

You perhaps are unaware of the fact that last year , the Governments of the Region , asked the WICB to implement the Patterson Report . The WICB not only refused to do that , but swiftly commissioned another
Report , called the Wilkin Report , that Report was also swiftly rejected .

The funny thing is that both Patterson &
and Wilkin became members of the WICB . I have no idea what impelled them to do that .

Perhaps they mistakenly believed that they could change the minds of others in the WICB . Frankly I knew that was a lost cause ; because it is the Presidents of
Regional Boards who hold the most power in the WICB .

The problem is that these MIMIC MEN ; are never ever going to divert from their Masters & Servants mentality . In my opinion this is the biggest obstacle that
is hurting Cricket in the Region .

This is why there must be a total & complete restructuring of Cricket in the Region . People can blame the Players
however as WE all know very well the following adage :

" FISH DOES NOT ROT FROM THE TAIL UP

BUT FROM THE HEAD DOWN "

Unfortunately , many in the Region in their individual & collective haste to cast aspersions , forget this adage .
