In reply to Runs ND can bat. Fellas just need to stay focus N practice hard. If u are weak vs spin, then practice hard at spin bowling; if u tremble vs pace, then practice hard at pace bowling. When u perform well during regional championships N are selected for A Team/Snr team then it's for u to now adopt D Shivster's mindset of PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE N things will fall into place. It's a simple as that - tea N water!

In reply to Runs There are times when i dont know what to believe....u will hear d know-it-alls say, 'oh, he's just a regional player' N then u will want to concur when they wi bwoys dont perform to expectations at the international level; then again, u want to ask, 'did he really practice hard, got his rest by being in bed early, left the girlies alone, etc. etc.'

Dude, Players like Deo, Devon have more competition from the youngsters as they age.
You really think a selector will like at these two guys with 700-900 runs, ahead of Johnson, Fuddadin, Blackwood, Carter and other youngsters with 400 - 500 runs.

Deo is now competing with guys 10 years younger, who are also scoring runs at the regional level, the same way Deonarine was selected ahead of older players when he was younger, so too will youngsters will be selected, ahead of him.

In reply to openning Precisely! It reinforces my sentiments that when u are given a chance to represent the region, u have to grab the bull by the horns. What i mean is that u have to stay focus, practice hard, be consistent, be discipline - eat right, exercise, lite or no drinking, no girlies when practicing. Do that N things will 'fall into place'.......or u will be relegated to regional championships or at most the A team. Or, or, the ultimate embarrassment - young fellas will be picked ahead of U - done!

Guys like Deo, Ryan Hinds, Joseph and others, did not focus on cricket, when they were younger.
The talent was always there, these guys were the leading run makers, they did not look at it as a career

Ryan and Deo at 30 years, are now waking up, seeing Bravo and others, who they can bat better than, making big money around the world.

I hope he is back soon,remember he is more than a useful off spinner,and he doh pelt.
