Once again the Invisible Man becomes visible and Strikes ; by taking 5 wickets in the Windward Islands Volcanoes vs the Guyana Jaguars . Well Done Kenroy Peters .

EVERYONE in the governance of Cricket in the Region . Unfortunately he is now over 30 years , but the truth is that all the Selectors in the Region worship at the Altar of " Pace like Fire " .

He is always visible , but in the Region there are a lot of people who have all sorts of Agendas , including selecting their own Players .

Tino Best reference him when speaking about the contracted player, WIPA, WICB and Bravo.
He said,"It is good to see a player like Peters, who is too slow to play at the International level, can now earn a living, playing regional cricket".

Probably the best quote out of Tino's mouth.

Tino maybe looking after Tino, seeing his career is becoming like Peters.

Baje 2014-11-22 17:22:50

He has waited late in his career to learn how to take wickets. For most of his career he was steady and tight. Last year he got a bunch of wickets. If he can repeat this year I believe that he needs to be given a look. Just maybe, he is as good as his numbers. Age is unimportant if he is in good shape.

FY1 in a Regional Tournament in Guyana , he did very well , and in batting he dove to his crease to avoid getting run out , and injured his leg . The WICB Selectors stated that he broke his leg , they then selected a Guyanese pacer to go on the Tour to South
Africa this happened somewhere between 2001
& 2004 .

POINT 2014-11-22 18:07:26

It is so freaking amazing that Peters is deemed to be slow yet he gets wickets and gets them cheaply to boot . He had to be a freaking Magician .

So much for this B.S about Pace . I figure that in Regional Cricket he has got as much wickets or even more than Tino Best . Pace aint every freaking thing .

Over & over in this Forum ,I have stated that he was never ever given a chance , not even to bowl in the Freaking Nets with the Selectors looking at him . He was never evaluated .

Ashley Nurse got the most wickets in 2012/13 and was backup to Peters in 2013, how come he not talk about?

Peters 2012- 9 Wickets, 2013 - 40 Wickets
Nurse 2012- 45 Wickets, 2013 - 32 Wickets
There are reason why certain players are selected ahead of others.
BTW, I am not a fan of Nurse bowling, I am only showing comparable stats.

Shame on you , of all his figures you chose to pick that !!!!! While ignoring the stats
for 2013 -2014 . YOU really aint serious .

The very fact that you did not put up Nurse's stats for 2013 -2014 informs me that
you are afraid to do that . Put them up !!!
for the Season , not the NAGICO Super 50
alone .

BTW please give me the Stats of how many Overs both Nurse & Peters bowled for the NAGICO Super 50 Time period that you have
cited .

I am not going around and around with you ,
I now realize that you simply intend trying to diminish Peters Performance today .

You cannot dispute the stats I have stated
because the are factual . Frankly I am not going to respond to anything you write in this Forum again .

Ive followed Peters career since U19, along with Devon. After all they were the outstanding bowler and batsman of the West Indies U19 tour to England near 14 years ago.

Peters wasnt undone by anything other than the Windward selectors and by the version of Liam Sebastien back then...Rawl Lewis. At the time he came back he was competing with Deighton Butler (another leftie), Alonzo Jackson, Rawl Lewis, Mcneil Morgan and Ffernix Thomas as well.

He was quite frankly underbowled as other guys senior to him had WI aspirations.

Now ironically, he and Matthew and Pascal and Liam are part of the same kind of mentality stopping a next generation of Windwards bowlers from emerging as Windwards have a set group of guys who feel they are close to a title and also to getting into the WI team.

Its always nice to think there is a regional conspiracy, but it isnt true in Peters case.

Mervyn Matthew had the same problem. Was the opening bowler for WI U19 and even taking into consideration his action issues, could not get into the Windwards team for years.

Its like a rite of passage.

Yeah, remember Camilus Alexander? Good leggie blocked by Rawl until he gave up....

Commie 2014-11-23 06:27:10

In reply to Larr Pullo

Yep.

There is a guy from Grenada, Dennis George. A slow left armer. He has been blocked all through his career. He has been the best spin bowler in the Windwards for years now.

Man has barely gotten a chance. He must be in his 30s now.

Point know fcuk all about players in the region, even in the Windwards, he is fixated with only players from SVG.
I remenber him stating that SVG wicketkeeper is the best in the region, everyone that follow West Indies cricket knows that was not true then and is not true now.
He knows the same amount of cricket base on the number of test matches he has attended.
