Good tribute, who was the last test cricketer to die in the fray? Who played a substantial number of tests?

Raman Lamba Indian test batsman hit while fielding in a game think was after his test career
I guess I just kind of expected that he'd recover, miss the rest of the season, and come back next season. It really stunned me when I heard it on the news (in Canada!) that he'd died. So sad, such a tragedy. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Very nice touch Wackie. We all were hoping for his recovery but I began to have doubts the more I read of the injury.
A real tragedy in truth.
It has cast a pall over Thanksgiving Day but the posted Picture makes it easier to deal with.

Yes I remember that, In a club match.
But I'm wondering if anyone died like that in a test match.

Same here bro, at worst I thought he would be back as a player but lose his confidence.
Shocked was an understatement when my mom told me this morning.

Great job bruh.
This certainly helps to ease the numbness of such an untimely death of someone who contributed so dearly to the sport we love so much.
Let us cherish the memories.

Nicely done Wackie!
Very classy move
Sad indeed.
This has touch the hearts
of many people around the
world.
In the midst of tragedy, it's really heartwarming for me and I'm sure for Phil's family, and Sean's family, to see our global cricket family unite like this. It's a powerful reminder of the bond we as cricket lovers all share. Phil's death resonated with so many, because he died doing what he loved, what we all loved - the game of cricket. He could have been our teammate, our brother, our son. How could he be taken so young, doing what we all love? But accidents can happen to all of us. Even doing what we love. At least he didn't suffer.
RIP Hugesy! Prayers to his family, friends, and Sean. Walk safe little man. God bless!

was just about to say the same thing Ponde.
good job CC.COM,
Respect due.
Well done indeed to CC.com, when I read the news in the morning, couldn't help shedding a tear, just to the fact that me myself is a player and although we play hard, this is the last thing we ever want to see, someone dying because of an on field blow! Poor Sean Abbott, might relive this everytime he think of bowling a bouncer.
May God Bless his soul.
Good kid,
Lesson for all of us. Never know how you will go nor where you will be when you go so always remember God and pray.
Now we know why players say their PRAYERS openly before a game.
