Which certifying body certifies helmets for cricketers?

It hit him in the neck, unless you want exta protection to be worn around the neck which may be uncomfortable and reduce movement.

Like a Knight armor plated

Hughes was wearing one of the older fashioned helmets apparently. He preferred them. Maybe that was a factor.

I would not be surprised if something like this armor, which protects the neck, would come into practice following this incident.

Time to trot out the stats

More people die from lightning strikes than die on a cricket field yaddi yadda yadda

I'm sure there will be efforts made to further protecting players and that's great. But at the end of the day, sometimes is just your time to go.

You could also roll out other cliches....he died doing what he loved etc

The fact is he's dead. Tragic to the max but people die. They don't usually die playing cricket and there's no reason to think that will change anytime soon.
