IT IS TIME FOR CHANDERPAUL ..

ellisstreet 2014-12-20 22:10:54

To ride off into the sunset ... Of course after the 2015 series against England.

Where he began, so he ends?

I'd like to see him get the runs record first then ride off to a deserved retirement.

Record or no record 2015 - post England - must be the end of of his outstanding career!

Chanders final Test match should be the 3rd match against England on May 1 thru 5

The Test team against Australia should herald the commencement of a new dispensation

Was Shiv the only one who failed in RSA? If so then you are right kick his ass out. Now what will you say of the other failures?

All selfish Crabbie want is to reach 12k runs then he'll announce his retirement... not before then.

He cares fack all for the team while crawling his way to the target !!

Commie 2014-12-21 08:48:12

In reply to NineMiles

If Lloyd presides over a decision to drop Shiv before the record, just imagine the symbolism much less the rancour.

Norm 2014-12-21 08:53:25

It's time for Chanderpaul to stop embarrassing the other 10 players with his bat.

After all, he is almost twice the age of some of them. Quite shameful to see an old man behaving like that!

Chander will go out in style. Watch him get a big one in SA.

Stop hating the top performer in the team of mediocre players. His contributions to the team is more than anyone in the last 8 years can lay claim to.

You certainly have no concept of what a team is.

Brian Lara also cool

ellisstreet 2014-12-21 23:52:30

The presence of Chanders is negatively affecting the rebuilding of our Test team.

He has served well but at 40 plus it is just time for him to go ... And I hope that Lloyd and WICB has already spoken to him about his retirement.

WI simply need Shiv for the time being. If Shiv goes now, WI will lose all remaining international credibility.

Half the time, he alone sustains the belief internationally that WI is still worthy of Test cricket. After Lara left, he alone has exhibited sustained Test quality for WI.

Trouble is, there is currently no other WI player who seems likely to take over from Shiv in this regard.

So, let us be silly and drop Shiv. It will rank among the most stupid things done by WI - right up there with the abandoning of the last tour to India.
