Bravo congratulates Jason Holder...
In reply to FanAttick
Really. Where's that link? Bravo is not that diplomatic and is not a good politician so that's a surprise. He usually wears his emotions on his sleeve.
In reply to jballer84
just heard it from Chrissy...she is over the moon that finally WI will have the benefit of an articulate and heducated captain
In reply to FanAttick
What is Holder's level of education?
In reply to JamMack
more than Bravo's who is said to be functionally illiterate..
In reply to FanAttick
I don't believe that!
Not after those long letter issued to Wavell Hinds & WIPA

Well we do need to have a captain that is smart, diplomatic, articulate and can represent us well. Bravo is not that. Holder, Kieran powell, Pollard fits that description.
It's amazing listening to Michael Clarke, Strauss, Graeme Smith, Ricky Ponter and these fellas speak. And it's not their accent, they just read the game well and deliver their message in an appropriate manner

I think Holder's appointment was a brilliant move...they should give serious consideration to appointing Braffit as test skipper...
time to turn a new page...

Isn't that being disrespectful to the erstwhile West Indies captain and spokesman for the touring senior players?
Thought they did that 4 years ago with Sammy's appointment when the best players were summarily discarded. Didn't Sammy promptly announce then that "We are moving in a new direction"

Au Contraire mon ami - I believe Bravo will be flattered by that accolade..

Isn't he a student at UWI?

In reply to Ewart
Of the squad in currently in SA, I think Walton, Holder & Brathwaite are either current students, or graduates, of UWI.
WIPA president, Wavell Hinds, has also reportedly resumed his tertiary at UWI in the Mass Comm department (I guess he is equipping himself to match the former skipper and "spokesman for the senior players" in his facility with the English language and in his letter writing capability!)
In reply to jacksprat
Hinds' English and communication skills look pretty good, at least from what we have seen in his Bravo letter.
What needs polishing is his diplomatic skill. And my guess is that he is on the way to that as we speak...

I was being sarcastic. Hinds, Lara & Adams, among recent West Indies players, have always had impeccable communication skills.
:
Why? That's old fashion skills
He he could do like the acerbic Dr. Hillaire and get a posting to London!!
In reply to jacksprat
I think not!
You sir is guilty of hyperbole!
Impeccable communication skills? - that ascription belongs to our dear late leader, Joshua Manley!
In reply to jacksprat
Add carl Hooper to that list
In reply to jballer84
