..To this rag tag team of journeymen? Accuracy - that's about it.
Will he trouble AB and Amla? Probably not because he's never faced that level of batsmanship before..
He is also capable of giving long spells, but will he play ahead of Holder and Gabriel and why?

Two hands and feet to carry drinks.

The team needs this....visibility is too embarasing
Point might be happy.

An end to POINT's seemingly endless diatribes. Now he'll learn to express his thoughts in compressed fashion over just a few sentences.
In reply to Drapsey
Bro, Mr Point will always find reasons to launch into a diatribe..
In reply to sunfish
True.
Next test is in PE.Your spinners are going to be crucial as well as any reverse swing your pacers can extract as the deck is usually pretty dead.
In reply to Commie
Walters replace Roach and who replace Fudadin? Look like de WICB confident with that batting line up...
Peters, Holder,Gabriel for 2nd test. Taylor and Soldier will sit out and split a joint for 3rd test.
In reply to Atl_View
That sound reasonable - they cannot do any worse...
Peters should have been in this make-up long time ago. When Pedro Collins called it a day, he should have been the next leftie they called up.
At least he has a chance to prove if he belong or not.
sent from my Ipad!
One should always, always wish the best for a player to do well.
Kenroy will represent himself and his team with distinction, as he has always done.
A capable work horse who can be dangerous under suitable conditions, he will be no less useful than any of the current WI bowlers.
So, give him his fair chance - and just reward for excellent service to the region at other levels.
If taking wickets was all about pace, players like Warne, Lance Gibbs, etc, would have never been worthy of Test cricket.
In reply to Norm
The odds are that Peters will get licks like any other WI bowler. I wish he doesn't, so that Point would have only one other reason to post
In reply to TheTrail
Man, that slow shoite that peters bowls gine get worse treatment than what the rolls royce and private gomer pile got.
In reply to sudden
Hopefully, we will see. AB and Amla will make runs against anyone, but Peters will be economical.
Well, most likely Peters will not play in the Tests, but if he does he should do okay, he is an accurate and thoughtful bowler
In reply to WestDem
I told you before that there will be no replacements for Fuda.
Deo better hope he get the transit Visa to get there in time for the ODIs
In reply to dayneDem doh like cerebral. See some one say his slow shyte but the faster shyte was like dung in the first test.Philandar is sooo express he lick dem down with Peters like pace even slower.
Imagine that none remember Ahmla was a lucky dog at 25. It is so rare for a 135plus pacer to not knock off bails with even a clip of the stumps. The result was 180 added runs.Coukda been a different game eh?
In reply to sunfish... because he [POINT] not as flip flopping as you all, his bone is with the WICB and as long as they continue to be a dysfunctional unit, he will always have a POINT.
it doesn't matter
he has earned his calling
Why will Peter's be any less inept than any who came before him?
In reply to Larr Pullo
Like I told Norm, the odds are that Peters will get lix like another other WI bowler
Kenroy Peters Interview:
Hard working young man with the right mentality. He knows his strength and limitations and will not confuse himself trying to do something he cannot.
He says he can bowl long spells and accurately as well as swing the ball!
All the best. Keep working hard.

In SA its not all about extreme pace, once you skillful with swing or movement off the seam, SA is as good a place for that kind of bowler as anywhere else in the world. Indian lacklustre seamers who swing the ball have had a good few games in SA.
Nonetheless, knocking over De Villers and Amla right now is a mountaineous task. I wish him all the best. Knowing windies guys, I highly doubt he'd be playing the boxing day test anyway, but he shoulda been in the windies side since the nz series.
In reply to sunfish
A place should be found for him especially for long accurate spells, while our strike bowlers rest, yes our strike bowlers.
I started this thread mainly to initiate ANOTHER discussion about the state of our regional cricket.
I agree that Peters should be given a look based on his past consistency. However, I am concerned that he will fail because he's never bowled to that level of talent before.
If he performers badly it will also be a damning statement about our regional cricket. Our best is just not good enough at the international level.
Good luck Kenroy. Keep your head when AB cover drives your best delivery for four...
In reply to sunfish
He has played A team cricket but yes its a huge leap up. Typically you want bowlers like Peters to debut at home in conditions they know and excel in.
Peters vs all opponents
In reply to jen
listen if u dont have any pace on your bowling you cannot trouble quality players, not for long
hopefully he is over 130ish
