Carter has looked out of depths, Smith isn't in good nick, Charles in an opener so ideally should replace Smith.

I always have a problem with selectors picking unbalanced 15 men squad. You always need 2 spare batsman, 2 spare bowler. There was never no need for 2 of roach and cotterell seeing you already know Russell would be your #8. Next point, 2 spinners in aussie land is a waste of time. Historically, spinners don't shine in Australia especially finger spinners. The likes of Murali have found it hell bowling down under. The pitches bounce proper so guys can sit on the backfoot against yo.

You have Simmons in your team, so I can understand no reserve keeper going and even Lil B could fill that role. If both of gayle and smith stinking up the place, they have no replacement (seeing that they showing no intention of sending simmons at the top). Another opener should have been there from the start along with carter.

It seems that West Indies always carrying Cotterell on tours for the joy ride. Carlos Braithwaite is being overlooked too often when he can easily fit into that 15 man squad. Bowlers who seam the ball off the deck is bowlers you need in your team. Its what has made Roach deadly anytime he's been back from injury and gets back enough games under his belt. Ripped out nuff quality batsmen with those leg cutters.

I f you play Charles for Smith then Carter should be left out for another strike bowler in Roach/Cottrell and keep Benn or play Miller instead.

Sammy and Russell need more batting time so Carter not adding anything to this eleven and if little Bravo was there I would still leave out Smith and use Ramdin to open to keep Sammy and Russel at 6 & 7

I am wondering how India is approaching this match.

Topping this group means they could possibly face Australia or Bangladesh in the Quarters. They would prefer Bangladesh but you never know how things might go with that race for 3rd/4th spot in Group A
