AS part of its cricket development initiative, the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) collaborates with the USA Global Cricket Academy (USAGCA) for a youth-friendly competition which bowls off today at the Everest Cricket Club ground and concludes on April 6. The USAGCA, which was the winner of the 2003 ICC Global Award for Best Junior Development Initiative, is resuming its international youth cricket tour programme following successful Under-17 and Under-19 Tours of India in 2014-15.
USAGCA’s Under-18, Under-15 and Under-13 teams will be engaging youth teams from various clubs, counties and area teams of the same age group.
The clubs providing teams are Demerara Cricket Club, Everest Cricket Club, Georgetown Cricket Club, and Gandhi Youth Organisation.
