A bastman's job is to keep out 6 excellent deliveries in every over...and score runs to boot

If you can't do that then you have failed...PERIOD

Hope just needs to focus on Hope...make runs...his time will come very soon.

So every batsman on west indies failed.

By your standard at some time even Bradman failed when he didn't keep out six balls in some over.

After about 3 or 4 FC games, Hope became the next best thing since sliced bread. So much so that he HAS to make the team asap.

It depends on Chanderpaul. He's still scoring runs but at his age he's very much a series by series player, I do think he'll finish up after the series against Australia with the tours to Zimbabwe & Sri Lanka being the right time to juggle the batting line-up.

I would also start to question Samuels role in the side, his experience isn't being justified with some of his performances and his lazy ways of getting out.

Not sure Marlon has done enough to warrant the drop. And Simmo will no doubt want to see if he can inject into him the qualities that are missing before he dumps him.

But I certainly see Marlon as being in more danger of being dropped than Shiv... even with his bowling.
