The most revealing stat is not Anderson passing Botham's 383 but, no English bowler ever got past 400 wickets when most of the other cricketing world have done it and beyond..

384 is not worthy of explosive celebration because it is a paltry total compared to Walsh's 519 and others..

any batsman from England pass 10,000 test runs?

Cook has a chance at 8447 or Bell at 7310...followed by Trott at 3767 runs
