I grew up calling that airport Timehri and I still call it Timehri. I know older folks who still call Linden McKenzie. They even have people who still call Guyana BG.

It was Timehri, It IS Timehri, and it will ALWAYS BE, Timehri!!!

As a matter of fact I had an ole great uncle who up to a few years ago when he died was still calling it Atkinson.

Atkinson was at a different location...close, but not the same.

If I had my druthers, no public domain would be named after anyone until a good 50 years after their death. It gives history the time needed to properly assess their contributions and settle their legacy.
