And over 600 BCA members will not be able to vote because they have not paid their dues........and you sitting a cazillion miles away and 'casting' your vote for Conde, but it doan make no difference who win, the only difference between them two is their names.............

PAN & FIRE
nuff said.
how we reach here girl?
In reply to cherri
My brother Oval waned me about Bigb, at that time my knowledge of Garner was his cricket career.
Oval was spot on, he lasted too long.
Where are the leaders, how can two has been , head the BCA?
In reply to powen001
Was talking to someone not long and he told me that he is giving Conde the edge, I said to him, ent no difference between them two....he said, well leh we do shit from a different angle........I cannot even crack a smile there.........for all intents and purposes the Bird could be gone, cause when your peers know that you and your opponent ent much of a muchness and they decide to do the shit wid dem.....yuh goose cooked...........

The thing about the BCA is that it is a high end clique, and once you are in nobody on the outside can get in, so fellas like Bird and Conde and the rest know that if not one, the other, but it is the insiders..........Look at Howard....he did round the BCA for an eternity and anybody new that come round there, he does mek life so miserable they does have to run.........POINT does hassle the WICB, he should see the BCA, the doings of that entity have the WICB looking innocent.........
In reply to cherri
Girl...
you have solid inside..ah.. LOCAL knowledge.
Bim is a strange conundrum...most of us know and like one another...even if we really sick o the crap that each other does from time to time...
this election really is being stuck between a rock and a hard place for many...hence the non paid dues etc...
POINT aint want nutting with the BCA lolololol..not this current set up.
In reply to cherri
Is that the same Howard, that is heading to the UN?
That man is too much of a bully.
In reply to openning

Out of a membership of over 1000 less than 300 votes cast.
See why cricket will never change? Only a handful of people interested
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
The membership seemed to be fed-up with the leadership of the BCA...but the alternatives ent much different, so it may be a..better the devil I know that the angel I don't sort of attitude prevailing.........plus a man tell me this evening that most of the people who does pay dues are old people who does pay to keep their membership to get into the Oval free for cricket, but he said that since the WICB started giving the over 60's free tickets to see the cricket it is doan make sense paying the BCA nuff money for what they can get free.......so yuh see boss most people does only be looking for what they can get and not looking to give anything.....so the BCA like the WICB need to inject a newness in the cricket.......Young upward thinking people and forget the cliques........
Congrats to Mr Garner and hard luck to Mr Riley
Hopefully all parties can work productively and effectively together for the betterment of Barbados cricket

Bro it is time for Conde to pack his bags, and take his grand children to the playground.
Conde don' t have enough friends on the boards, this is the second defeat in two years

But Conde is still a relatively young man.........but like I told you, not much separates him and Bird...........he should have given away some golden handshakes....this week Bird gave Yorkshire a drive mower.......he say on behalf of the BCA...but I am sure for a few people that like tekking that was a good few votes for the Bird.........oh the politics of cricket in the region..........
In reply to openning
At least he willing to contribute. Plenty others have bare mout and little to no action
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Are the youngsters part of the membership?
In reply to imusic
The BCA is or should be a professional organization, not a district or neighbourhood club.
Idi will tell you about Conde
In reply to openning
How professional is Garner by comparison?
In reply to imusic
I know of Garner the cricketer, but nothing about either candidates business experience.
This is Joel's fourth campaign, has he move Barbados cricket forward?
In reply to openning
What youngsters? BCA got any youngsters?
Both Conde and Bird over 60 and Calvin and Deighton nearing there
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
I am referring to the players, who are members of clubs.
Can players like Kemar, Kraigg and others, vote at the general election?
In reply to openning
Once you are a member of the BCA and your financial standing is up to date you can vote, that the majority of the youngsters in the set up doan even go to the meetings says a lot........like I said, bring some freshness to the BCA, get upright thinking people who will deal with the youngsters and not treat them like they doan matter, then you will see a difference in the halls of the BCA, these boards are all 'old boys clubs' and a youngster will struggle to break that, but something has to be done else it will the same thing over and over......different day, same shit.........
In reply to cherri
Check your PM
The thing is... Most cricketers are not members of the BCA. I think most of them don't think they can make a difference or there is just a general apathy towards administration.
In reply to Bestian
Cricketers typically don't join whilst they are active and some may join after retirement.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
How does membership work, are all club member in good standing, members of the BCA?
In reply to openning
BCA membership should be tied to cricket clubs that way the interest of the clubs and cricketers would come first.
In reply to rubberd
The clubs make up the BCA but its just that In most clubs there's little interest in anything beyond playing.
In reply to Bestian
morning Bestie...I will try to remember to FB you on messenger...i putting this here cause I likely to forget..just need your input on something.
In reply to rubberd
You have to be a (suscribed) member of a club to apply for BCA Membership.
In reply to pelon
If some in the membership have declined to pay the BCA annual fee, do you think they are still paying club dues.
